World Science Festival Brisbane | Education Program | Pandemic - The Race for a Cure (High School)

Global pandemics are not new to us. From the Black Plague of the 18th century when a third of the European population died, to the 1920s when the Spanish Flu killed over 50 million people, and now over a million people worldwide have died from COVID-19.  How have we overcome pandemics in the past and why is it so hard to make a vaccine?

Join us at Pandemic – The Race for a Cure to learn about the history of vaccines and diseases through the ages, plus hear directly from the heroes at the forefront of the global fight against COVID-19.
